Welcome-For the past 13 years, yogis from all over the world have converged on Times Square in New York City and 2015 is no exception. This year has extra magic: the United Nations has pronounced it an "International Day of Yoga" with events happening worldwide. In Times Square, the celebration begins at 9:00 am and ends at 9:30 p.m. Why the Summer Solstice? Since almost the very beginning of mankind, the longest day of the year symbolizes the light of spiritual consciousness and the path to attaining that light. It has been a deeply spiritual day since the Druids, ancient Egyptians, Mayans, Essenes and Romans. In modern lives, it may seem like just another day, but it is a time of great spirituality and light. Let's gather to practice together in a celebration of peace and life.
Please join me, Donna and Jennifer and thousands of others at 2:00 p.m.
